Klinge owned his paternal Buedner farm in Leussow until 1871. Then he sold everything and moved with wife and six children to America. Most emigrants of this region travelled to New York and then to Iowa. But Klinge choose the way to New Orleans, up Mississippi river to Clayton, Iowa and then walked to Garnavillo, Iowa.
There the family settled down. All children married, several of their partners came from Griese Gegend, too, or their parents were born there.

Thank you to Eldon Knuth, California, for the information about the family's live in America.
